Netbook Reflection 2013

Having a netbook connected to the internet helped me in many ways. Over the year,  I did some art and some reflections and some learning online. We used our netbooks for blogging and doing Maths and Reading and Writing and some learning online.

Also we used netbooks to help each other and work together using other strategies.

After school we ask people how to work out some maths out of school and  some writing work and some art work.

Helping our friends to achieve their work and do well on the assessment.

We are happy that we had Netbooks around because we can use them to do our work and do some maths reading writing and some work online.

Film Festival

On Wednesday Glenbrae school went to the film festival at the extreme screen at Sylvia Park we watch our school  videos and some other schools videos. After we went into the extreme screen to watched the schools different  movies from different schools we sat on the chair we waited for the movie to come on. The first school was Panmure Bridges movie it was about swimming at school. Then our school it looked cool and exciting. Showed our school video it was about a wolf chasing Angelina from our school it was fun watching it. Next was Stone Fields their movie was about the moon and the sun.When there movie was finish it was Pt England's schools video to watch their movie was about Hairy Maclary from donsinstery it was funny and cool.Then our last movie was at camp at Great Barrier Island It was about when we went swimming in the sea and doing the rope course and the haka it was really fun at camp it was awesome and exciting.

Dance Fever

Today we had Dance fever we were learning hip hop and some other dances then we saw our instructors there name was Captain and Christina. First we started to learn swep its what we move sideways and move our hand and we had to and move then do a facial. Then we had dance battle boy team and girl team.

When we battled against the team our captains were siupeli and brinix. We had to follow our captains and we follow him or her and when it got to the end Captain and Christina voted and captain said the boys won and Christina said boys won to and then we had to o back to class but it was fun and exciting.

Soccer Session

Today we had a soccer practice at the court we had a mini tournament we had 6 teams each team had a court we went to our court and played soccer i was in team 1 we went to the first court. Then team 2 came to the second  court. After the third  team went to the third court. After the fourth team went to the fourth court.  

Then we began the game  we were playing soccer and my team was playing group 6 there were no goalies. Then we played soccer we started passing the ball to people they were talking to us to pass the ball they “Said pass pass the ball im here im out said christian . The game was getting fun my teammate passed the ball to me and i kicked the ball as fast as a soccer player kicked the ball.

Then  we got a score then we tried to get another score and my friend were working as a team like a real soccer player team  I  passed it to christian and  then christian got the goal.Then the game was over an team 1 won the game

After my team didn’t lose a game but we had a good and fun day a soccer practice.

The Kangaroo Who Danced - Sunshine Online

Today I was reading a book discovered by Dream time and Beyond. The story was about a kangaroo that really loved dancing at night. 

Spooky Story

It was a dark cold night, “I heard something banging at the wall”. I got scared and I was shivering and it was scary as a spooky clown. Then something banged at the door then “I heard noises smash smash” . After something fell down outside I went to look outside at the window but I saw someone.

Then I went back to my room I was thinking who did i see. It had sharp nails and sharp teeth. Then the lights went off I ran to the room to get a torch I found a torch I turned on the torch I looked everywhere but the Beast  wasn't there. After I walked around the house then I saw it again it ran fast as a cheetah I ran to the kitchen I grabbed a knife.                                      

Then I ran under the bed I looked for the Beast I turned off my light I was quit then the Beast came through  the door.Then I ran outside then I LOCKED the door  I ran to the door and tried to open the door then it broke the door after I ran to the back door it didn't open after I went down the basement I LOCKED the door I tried to find away out of the basement.

Then I saw a window I cracked the window but the problem was it was too small I could not fit but the Beast was still trying to break the door open it got angry and the door almost broke open but i still tried  to get out then i just fit in the window then the Beast broke the door then i got out and ran and tried to get help but the Beast wasn't dead then a car came and it was a man in a truck then me and him and I went home.THE END 

Soccer Game

Today we did soccer on the court and we played a game. There were 4 teams.  Each team had a colour red,blue,  yellow  and there was no bibs. My team was the yellow team and we each had a turn playing a game of soccer. The blue team went on and the red team went off.  When we started we were bursting and we were keen. They ran as fast as the wind and they kicked the ball as fast as a soccer player. Then the non bibs went on and they were passing the ball and getting goals. Then my team went on we were dribbling the ball, working as a team, using skills and getting each turn with the ball.At the end we were sweaty and thirsty but we had a good.

 

Soccer Practice

Today we did soccer practice on the court. We did some stepping and dribbling with the ball. Then we played a soccer game. You had to  hit the cones to get points. We only had 5 more minutes.Then both teams had no points.But in the end it was a good game.  

The Snow Race

Today I read this story about Snow racing. They have racing in the snow. They all have a race out of all of them who will win.

Soccer Practice

Today on the court we had soccer practice with our coach Ben. We had a game called octopus to warm us up. Then he taught us how to juggle the soccer ball using our feet. We practised this skill.  Later we played a game of soccer using kicking and dodging skills. The game ended in a draw. It was a good game.

Steps / Instructions: put your helmet on put your nepad on put your elbow pad on put your shoes on check if the bike is okay to ride check brakes check if the helmet does not crack check the chain is rusty check the gear if it is good check the wheel if it not flat

Today I wrote my own recipe it was kind of easy I wrote a recipe of scramble eggs.  It's easy for me.Thanks to Mrs Raj I know how to write a recipe.

Netball Session

Today room 10 had a netball session out on the court we did stepping and some chest passing. Then we had a game. It was a shooting goal game.We each got a number from 1-13 my number was number 6. There was a teacher  and her name was Gina. In the end my team lost with excitement because we didn't want to make a big fuss about losing.
